Charter Section 9.102 requires the Controller to review the estimated revenues contained in the Mayor's annual proposed budget and provide the Board of Supervisors with an opinion regarding the accuracy of the economic assumptions underlying the revenue estimates and the reasonableness of the revenue estimates.
The opinion is presented to the Board of Supervisors each year in a letter that discusses the Mayor's proposed budget, i.e.the Controller's Discussion of the Proposed Budget (AKA Revenue Letter) The Letter for the Mayor's Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2009-10 was issued on June 10, 2009.
