In July 2000, Muni started
measuring the on-time performance on its most patronized routes,
one of the service standards required by voter initiative.
On time is defined as no more than four minutes late or one minute
early. According
to Muni, 71% of its vehicles ran on time
in the last quarter of 2003. Muni's
goal is to have 85% of its fleet on time by July 2004.
